Accessibility

We aim to keep these pages readable with a keyboard, a screen reader, and with motion reduced. We do not claim a formal audit or a conformance certificate.

What the pages aim to support

  • LanguagePages are in English and marked en-GB.
  • StructureOne h1 on each page, then h2 and h3 in order. A skip link goes to the main content.
  • KeyboardMenus, links and cookie controls are buttons or links with visible focus. The mobile menu can be closed with Escape.
  • ImagesPhotographs have alt text. The logo mark beside the wordmark is treated as decorative.
  • ColourBody text is aimed at WCAG 2.2 AA contrast against the paper background. Information is not given by colour alone.
  • MotionEntrance animation and image zoom are turned off when the system asks for reduced motion.
  • CookiesThe notice is a region at the foot of the page, not a full-screen gate. Settings are labelled. See the cookie policy.

Known limits

Some pages include a drawn diagram — a room outline, a cabinet elevation, a route. The same points are written in the paragraphs next to the diagram. If a diagram is still unclear, that is a fault we want to hear about.

We have not commissioned an independent accessibility audit. Saying that we aim at WCAG 2.2 AA practices is not a claim that every page meets that bar in full. The editorial policy explains the wider approach of the publication.

How the pages are built to be read

The content is in the HTML, not injected as the only copy of the text. A skip link is the first control. The header stays visible. With JavaScript unavailable, the navigation links remain on the page rather than inside a closed menu. The cookie banner is a region, not a full-screen gate.

Photographs have text alternatives. Decorative marks that repeat the heading are hidden from assistive technology. Tables of example measurements have captions. Focus is visible. We do not rely on colour alone to distinguish a current navigation item.

If a page is hard to use, write to help@attorneyatworkweekly.com with the page address and what you were trying to do. We treat that as editorial correspondence about access, not as a support contract. Known limits: some photographs are busy, and a long sheet is long on purpose. A contents link at the top of a sheet points back to the catalog if you want a shorter route through the site.
