Editorial policy

Purpose

attorneyatworkweekly publishes general notes about furniture installation in London homes. The aim is to help a reader measure a room, read a plan, and understand the questions a fixing or a stair raises. The publication is the author of the notes. We do not attribute articles to named individuals.

What we leave out

We do not publish product rankings, installer directories, reader testimonials, star ratings, or paid placements. We do not invent awards, qualifications, case studies or customer comments. We do not sell furniture or take bookings through the text. A page that started to read like a shop or a lead form would be outside this policy.

Sources and limits

The notes describe common housing and common furniture practice in ordinary language: how London rooms are often built, how flat-pack fittings are usually organised, and which questions belong in a product leaflet or a lease. They are not a building survey, not a structural opinion, and not legal advice. Where a specific item is involved, the leaflet supplied with it is the instruction for that item. Where a sentence would require an unconfirmed superlative or a promise about an outcome, it is cut.

Updates and corrections

Each field note shows a publication date and an update date. When a passage is revised, the update date changes. If you think a passage is wrong or unclear, write to support@attorneyatworkweekly.com and name the page. We read corrections and amend the text when the point is sound. We do not promise a particular reply time.

Images

Photographs are used under the Pexels licence and are credited on the about page. They illustrate rooms, tools and furniture. They are not presented as work carried out by this publication. The logo is the publication’s own mark.

Advertising

These pages may be used as an informational destination. They are not a disguise for a shop or a booking service. Optional analytics and advertising storage are explained in the cookie policy. No third-party advertising script is loaded by the pages as published. If that changes, the cookie policy will change with it, and any such script is intended to run only after advertising storage is granted.

The disclaimer and the terms of use sit alongside this policy.

Corrections and sources

A correction is a change to a published sentence. We note the date of the update on the page. We do not keep a public log of every comma. If a change alters a measurement method or removes a claim, the updated date is the signal to re-read the page rather than rely on a saved copy.

Sources we are willing to rely on include a manufacturer’s current leaflet, guidance published by a public body, and a standard we have actually read. A forum post, a product review, or a claim in an advertisement is not a source for a change. We do not cite a person as our author. The author of each article, in the structured data and on the page, is the publication.

We do not accept payment for a mention of a product or a company. There is no sponsored shelf on the site. Advertising cookies are described honestly on the cookie page: the choice exists in the banner because advertising tags may be added later, and until a tag is present an opt-in does not contact an advertising network.

Reader mail can suggest a topic. A suggestion is not a commission, and we do not promise to write the page. Topics we will not write include instructions for bypassing a lease, for opening gas or electrical fittings, or for identifying hazardous materials. Those limits match the disclaimer.
